It's been reported that Axl Rose may front as the singer for AC/DC, or then again, maybe not
I stumbled on an AC/DC concert on the TV a while back and just had to watch it. They're fun, have no pretensions, and work hard for their money, which they were obviously making a lot of that night. The crowd was huge, young and very enthusiastic, but I couldn't guess the location. I thought maybe Spain, but I eventually discovered it was Argentina. This surprised me.
This is that concert...
though it sounded better on the TV.
Axl Rose has the voice for the job, but does he have the lack of pretensions? Guns & Roses after all produced the most expensive album in rock history.
Not that I care either way, but it will be interesting to see what happens, if it happens.
Then there's this from the other end of the music spectrum, where bands don't get too big to fail...http://folkandroll.co.uk/the-rock-and-roll-lifestyle
They say only one in a hundred novels get published and I'm sure the same applies to all the arts. So it's best to be your own judge in such endeavors, as the law of averages says you'll end up on the wrong side of the ledger regardless of how good you are. And there's nothing wrong with having a hobby. Just ask Rod Stewart.
