I noticed this soon-to-be-released "interactive music tower defense game" called Sentinel...
(which isn't related to Geoff Crammond's famous game of the same name of course), but does look interesting. But what it perhaps is related to (other than tower defence games) is Jaron Lanier's Moondust...
which I remember on C64 cartridge from way back when. There was nothing else remotely like it.

but it doesn't seem to be released yet. And the Velodrome there doesn't work for me. Meaning it runs, it recognizes my key presses when I "calibrate" them, but it neither recognizes my key or mouse presses when I play the game. Odd.
