This Journaling Lark...
Jul. 21st, 2013 07:38 pmAm I back to using Dreamwidth and LJ regularly? I don't know, but maybe. Apart from a post last month and a few this month, I'd not posted since December! And yes it does feel that long. (Note to LJ users: I didn't cross-post my earlier 'recent' posts as I hadn't managed to catch up on your journals. I wanted to check out your status before updating mine, as it were.)
And with looking through the LJ friends in my profile, I noticed Dr_Pixel - aka Curt Esser. He started a journal 10 years ago this year, but LJ proved not to be for him, so there's only three posts there.
Well, sadly, Curt died last month. (Of a heart-attack while at work.) There's an obituary here, (featuring a terrible photo!)
You'll notice from the obit he also made computer games. This is one of them. His Amiga programming is how we came into contact, but it's been a few years since we'd been in touch. As is the way now, a mutual friend heard of his death through Facebook.
Oh, and not mentioned in the obit are the dresses and such he made for The Sims... Hmm, and cars too, it seems!
A regular guy's life well lived, I think, and due to the digital age, leaving a more diverse kind of footprint.
