Tsumiki Architectural Building Blocks
Jan. 13th, 2016 05:40 pmI never really got Lego, I growing up on the tail end of Meccano's long rule of the construction set domain. Lego seemed to be toys for toddlers, being just blocks made of plastic instead of wood, so I find it odd to see adults being impressed by things made out of Lego. Dumbed-down from birth, I guess. [ Ducks :) ]
'Tsumiki Architectural Building Blocks' however, coming out of Japan, are something else again. If two sides of a triangle can be called a block, then blocks they are I guess, as that's all they are. But they're wooden, not plastic, and structures made from them approach art in ways Meccano or Lego never will. You can see them here...
